The Apostolic Carmel Congregation, founded by Venerable Mother Veronica of the Passion in 1968 in Bayonne, France, established its presence in Mangalore in 1870 at St. Ann’s Campus. The primary focus was on the comprehensive development of Indian women through a solid Catholic education, fostering deep faith in God and themselves.
The visionary Mother Theodosia, then Superior General, envisioned the need for a school in Mysore, leading to the establishment of St. Joseph’s Primary in 1970 with 12 students. The Permanent Recognition for grade 1 to VII in St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School English Medium Mysore was granted in 1977- 1978.
The school’s Managing Committee, School Development Committee, Child Protection Committee, and School Vehicle Drivers Committee work collaboratively, ensuring smooth operations. St. Joseph’s High School, with its experienced and committed long-standing staff, focuses on the holistic development of every student, before their transition.
The school also boosts an atmosphere of extracurricular activities Athletics and Sports, providing students with ample opportunities to explore their talents and interests beyond the academic realm.
